SIXTOWNS BY BROS DISTILLERY LANDS AT THE WORLD OF WEDGWOOD

Brace yourselves for an exciting leap into history, as award-winning Bros Distillery opens its new facility at World of Wedgwood in Barlaston on February 25th 2023. This meteoric rise to success comes after the company was founded just three years ago. Celebrating their connection with the Potteries and renowned local ceramic producers, all SIXTOWNS products are made on site and presented in stunning one-of-a-kind kiln shaped ceramic bottles which truly capture Stoke-on-Trent’s fine craftsmanship and Potteries spirit. It’s a dream come true, the SIXTOWNS team cannot wait until they open right where they belong – the birthplace of none other than the famous Wedgwood.
Located at the far end of the World of Wedgwood courtyard (next to the Fiskars store), the new 1050 square metre distillery is about to open its doors to include a retail shop and bar, tours, plus gin and cocktail masterclasses. It will also be available for private events or corporate hire so individuals and business users can really impress their guests with unforgettable experiences.
On the official Grand Opening Day there will be a party, with doors opening at 6.30p.m., continuing to 11.00p.m. A limited number of complimentary tickets are available to book via Eventbrite. The opening party will focus on the distillery bar, and all attendees will receive a glass of fizz on arrival and enjoy a night of music and celebration. Full opening hours will commence the following week from Wednesday 1st March, Wednesday to Sunday, 10.00a.m. to 11.00p.m.
Speaking today, Jemma Harrison, Head of World of Wedgwood comments, ‘since reopening after the pandemic, we have strived to enhance the visitor experience at World of Wedgwood, whilst at the same time extending the amenities that the local community can enjoy on their doorstep. The focus of our development has been on championing the core values of craftsmanship, creativity and sustainability which are very much at the heart of the Wedgwood founding and future story. The new Sixtowns distillery, joins our own Barlaston factory, Josiah and Co. and Lunar, in showcasing the very best craftsmanship that Stoke-on-Trent has to offer.
The beautiful cocktail bar encourages our visitors to extend their stay into the evening and enjoy a pre-dinner tipple on the very site where their luxury spirits are produced. It is a huge pleasure to welcome Vitalijs, Alex and the Sixtowns team to World of Wedgwood and see their incredible vision come to life’.

Media representatives are invited to now book in for the Media Preview Days. These will be on the hour on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th of February 2023, between 12.00p.m. and 4.00p.m (last 1 hr time slot). The Owners and their Strategic Partnerships Director will be available to personally conduct the tour
