This is a brilliant alternative to Port served after dinner – a warming gin based liqueur using wonderful, rich plummy damsons from Shropshire.

Whereas it can be served as a liqueur at the end of a meal (great with Stilton instead of port), it can also be made into a long cocktail drink with tonic, soda or a sparkling dry white wine.
